There are a number of ways to get to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from the Louis Armstrong International Airport. The airport is about a 30 minute drive from the convention center.


Taxis charge $36 to go from the airport to the city.

Shuttle Service

There is a shuttle service from the airport to the hotels. You can book ahead of time with Airport Shuttle New Orleans. Prices vary, but average around $25 each way.

The shuttle service has extended a discounted round-trip rate of $40 for Exchange attendees who book online, approximately a 10% discount.  Click here to get the GEAPS Exchange discount when booking your shuttle.

Public Transportation

Public transportation is also available. Two lines operate from the airport into the city. It takes about 45 minutes and costs $1.50 – $2. You do have to transfer at the end of the line to get to the convention center. Rideshare options, including Uber and Lyft, are also an option.
