Beyond Resilience: Making a Shift from Surviving to Thriving

Do you feel overwhelmed trying to keep up with the accelerating pace of change in life and work? Are you exhausted from just trying to “survive” until this season of change has finally passed? If so, you’re not alone. Change is uncomfortable, and we don’t like what is uncomfortable. We like what is familiar. In this session, you will learn how to regain a sense of control — even when it seems like everything is out of control — and learn how to find peace, joy, and meaning in the midst of uncertainty and change. It’s all about shifting from the mindset of managing change to the mindset of creating change… and it all happens one moment at a time.

In this session, you will learn:

  • The science-backed principle of State Before Strategy — why it’s good to feel good!
  • Three choices you can make in any moment to shift into an empowered emotional state
  • How to find the confidence to “let go and trust” even in the midst of uncertainty
  • Why it’s important to “set your GPS”–or live from the future you desire–instead of trying to get to the future you desire
  • Three daily practices to cultivate resilience to rise above the challenges of the day

GEAPS Member Awards Celebration
If that’s not enough reason to look forward to the keynote, come to watch as your industry peers are recognized with GEAPS’ three highest honors, the International Member of Distinction, Industry Leader and the Corbett Award. It has been a couple of years since we have been able to present these awards and we are looking forward to celebrating the award winners in person.

9:45 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Idea Exchange

The Idea Exchange features a variety of participants delivering approximately five minute presentations. The program includes two segments:

“Small Changes….Big Impact!” highlights ideas that grain operations managers and workers put into practice to improve safety or efficiency at their facilities or enhance environmental awareness, company culture or community involvement.

“What’s New?” includes new products and services developed for grain operations during the past year.

11:15 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Expo Hall Open

Convention Center: Expo Hall

The Expo Hall is a great place to check out the newest products, equipment and services. Many companies bring their equipment to the show; this is a tangible experience! Operators can learn more about the latest technology and trend while getting their hands on equipment and asking questions. Executives can reinforce existing business relationships and form new ones. New this year, pick up some new tricks in the hall’s Innovation Stations. The Expo Hall also serves as a lunch and education destination. Lunch is provided for free for attendees.

This event is free for all attendees.

1:45 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

The demonstrations will run throughout the show, be sure to stop by and pick up skills to help make sure you and your team go home safe at the end of each work day.
